Anybody have their Recycle Bin cleared out with this update!?!?!?
Update on Backing Up (or lack thereof) Build 18234 with Macrium Reflect
My system consists of a 500 GB SSD drive, partitioned between Windows 10 version 1803 and Skip Ahead 18219, along with a 1 TB HDD data drive.
Macrium Reflect is scheduled for a full backup of everything on Sunday and a differential backup every day for the rest of the week.
When Skip Ahead Build 18234 was released and installed accordingly on September 6, some discovered they couldn't back up this Build with Macrium Reflect. I also tried to back up the new Build with no success.
Since my backup was scheduled from my version 1803 partition, I thought it would be OK. Well, it wasn't . . .
When I checked my backups from yesterday and today, I found that yesterday's backup was OK because the differential had run before Build 18234 was installed; however, today's differential had the dreaded Red X.
I have now restored back to yesterday before Build 18234 was installed. I'm now running Windows version 1803.254 and Skip Ahead Build 18219.
Oh, and in case anyone should think I thought all this up and fixed it by myself, I guess I should fess up. I had help with sorting it all out; @simrick to the rescue! Without her, I would have done a clean install . . .
In case someone cares to know...
My Macrium Reflect still working as it should, again tonight it created all of my scheduled backups without a glitch.
I could mount, unmount, restore, copy and paste and everything in between.
Sorry for you guys having problems with Macrium it isn't happening to me.
