note the version on KYHI disk is 6.7 I think -- at least on the version of the disk I'm using -- not sure if it's been updated for a while.

I've just made an image using Terabyte Unlimited Image for Windows.
And it used VSS. No errors were thrown up, and it completed a byte for byte validation.
I haven't attempted a restore.
I had the error with Reflect.

when using UUPDUMP and the iso

ist problem --stuck in a while in check for updates -- so cancelled that after it was getting nowhere in 15 mins so started again and clicked the not now option to bypass check for updates.

now updating OK

we shall see !! -- got to working on updates 70% still plodding along -- soon be time for a Beer !!(or 2) -- beer for breakfast !! -- well it's the weekend.

concur with others -- Macrium is broken on latest skippy -- at least when run from within windows



two more tests to do

1) from KYHI disk

2) from stand alone Macrium disk

MR also broken -- when run from KYHI disk (boot from KYHI USB)
MR broken when run from MR boot media

Now if I cant image system OK then that's it because I'm not doing anything on computers if I can't make timely backups.

The only thing that works for me (as I don't have the other windows backup programs -- and I don't want to change from MR) is from a Linux VM -- attach the disk and copy it with DD -- bit of a long winded process but just did it for a test. Boot from either external USB Linux live distro or a Windows to go with a Linux VM on it --I used a Windows to go Win 7 disk with VMware Linux VM on it for the DD test.

So I'll abandon this skippy -- as I said must have reliable backups -- would you get into a car with no seat belt and no brakes !!!

I'm sure MR will be on the case pretty quickly though or even Ms or both --then I'll try again.
