My network problem is goofy to say the least. After changing the workgroup a couple of times and changing it back to the original name the PC shows up on the network until the next boot. I hope Microsoft figures this out. I'm using the term "Give access to" "Specific people" with no passwords.
I do have various problems but today I did a fresh install of Windows and it activated first time. I used a Microsoft I hadn't used before (and I have Windows 8 and 8.1 keys I bought when MSDN was a reasonable price).
What I can't know is whether your experience is typical. The only annoyance I have seen is the lack of ability to Personalize but I wouldn't doubt there are work arounds for that if I was really interested.
Same Error code 9 on Macrium Reflect (Free) and Task Manager cannot be resized (it does not change the mouse pointer at the edges to resize!)
