Hi folks
On REAL hardware (not a VM) has anybody tested whether USB3 devices are recognized when plugged in.
Skippy build ***219 has a defect in that USB 3 devices only recognized if plugged in when computer booted
I want to test this build but if USB problem still there then I'l leave it.
Please ensure system is booted with no external USB 3 HDD's / SSD's connected.
Plug in after boot an ext USB3 HDD and see if it's recognized.
Thanks to all testers !!.
Cheers
Jimbo
I have no USB 2 or 3 issues on a laptop running 17746, and on other laptop running Skippy 18219. No issues, both working just fine.
In fact, on both laptops, I have absolutely none of those issues other members have reported. No account verification issue, Action Center working and so on.

Hi folks
Thanks for that info
will try again - I've 100% ensured that Windows is up to date before downloading / installing this build
I'll also try on another machine -cold / clean install so will test both ways round -- seems on the whole to be a decent build.
Cheers
jimbo.
Tried the update 3 times and each time it failed (installing update) at 43% and reverts back to the previous version. It flashes an error code but it doesn't stay on long enough to copy it. I have a Macrium disc image of a previous version and I'm going to restore that and then try the update again. The Insider installation (dual boot on separate SSD's with my Production Win 10) is a very vanilla installation. The only other programs installed are Office 365 and my recording studio program (Cakewalk Sonar).
Hi there @fireberd
Computer INTEL / AMD just as a matter of interest -- cant install Skippy on AMD one but the previous build to this one installed so am trying this one now on AMD machine (HPE GEN 10 Microserver). Have you also tried clean install --use UUDUMP to get the build as an iso.
Also to anybody reading these posts - although if you are insiders you probably don't need the info -- ALWAYS BACK UP before installing or attempting installing these builds with decent backup software. Roll back doesn't always work if build install fails. !!
Cheers
