    Hi folks

Don't have it on my build (or can't find it).

    Attachment 200097

Classic snipping tool though still available in build 18219 though

I think for simplicity and speed I still prefer it

adding extra features to apps isn't always an improvement IMO K.I.S.S !!!!

On my build it's still snip and sketch with defects as before (previous build).

    build 18219.1000 rel 10810

    Cheers

Lol. Working fine here, but it's completely useless without a touchscreen with pen support. For everything else good old PrnScr works wonders.

I make a cut, and it goes to memory but I can't see the picture in it although I can paste it in a graphic program.

    It does preserve transparency, though!

    Agreed,
it won't open in S&S via Win+Shift+S, Screen snip in Action Center or Screen Snip in the right click menu...

will only open in S&S UI when new snip is selected from S&S menu or jump lists.

Use WIN + PrnScr to save a screenshot to %USERPROFILE%\Pictures\Screenshots\Screenshot(n).png

Only disadvantage of this is that there does not seem to be a way to get the same behaviour for active window screenshots only.

Lol. that makes a picture of all my 3 screens. Nowhere close to what a snipping tool should do.

Screen Clip conventions are too convoluted!

    I use Greenshot...

if I want a clip to share, PrnScr►lands on Desktop with sequential numerical title, done!

None of this invoke select, copy to clipboard, open a program to paste, rename and save, blah blah blah!!!

Yep! Only thing Windows really needs is a setting that enables or disables saving screenshots to a user defined location.

Then only keyboard shortcuts needed would be:
    PrnScr for whole desktop screenshots
PrnScr + LALT for active window screenshots
PrnScr + LSHIFT + LALT for user selected area screenshots
