Missed yesterday's news about 17441 so when I sat down at my desk this morning, and saw the news item on TF, I had this rare and unusual experience: both of my Fast Ring PCs were already through the initial prepare-download-install phase, and ready to restart into actual OS installation. As I write this message, the Dell Venue Pro is 5% complete on "Configuring update..." while the Dell XPS 2720 is at 24%. Fingers crossed right now that both will get all the way through the upgrade process without problems. That would be the first time in a while that some troubleshooting or retry maneuver had NOT been necessary since June or thereabouts.

Again: fingers crossed. I'll report back if anything shows up. Trying to stay positive, though!

: Just got to the boot screen on the Dell Venue Pro 11 all the way through boot on the second successful install. It has a 1.6 GHz i5 so it took about twice as long to complete as the XPS 2720 which has a 3.4 GHz i7 (both Haswell vintage CPUs). First time in two months or so I've managed to have a "routine, no problems" Insider Preview Fast Ring boot experience. I'm delighted!

Just did a clean install from an ISO. When I click to verify my account, the window just closes. Hope its sorts itself soon.

Looks like you're on a slightly older BIOS but, as brummyfan said, if you're not having issues with your PC, you should really just leave things as is. BIOS updating is slightly risky. Less so these days than in the past, but there's still some risk involved.

Is your Microsoft account up to specs? Go to account.microsoft.com and login there to see if your account is up to date. A lot of weird behavior has been going on since GDPR took place.

Edge no longer crashes by clicking several times on the hub button (as it happened in the previous build) but it still continues this kind of "flashing" of the favorites bar icons when closing the hub:

Remote Dekstop keeps freezing on me for this build, it's pretty much unusable.

I think it's simply time for a fresh clean install. I just checked the upgrade history, it has been in-place upgraded now for 45 times, all builds since 15063 in June last year.
I haven't done a clean install since my first 10 Insider Build in July 2015. Always thought that might be a reason why I seldom have significant problems with new builds.

Have not tried it yet but it seems a new version of the snipping tool has been released with time delays of 3 and 10 seconds. 5 seconds on the snipping tool was sometimes not enough.
