Thanks for the offer, much appreciated, but Geeks uninstaller did a good job. I did find an older version on the Major Geeks site but decided not to use it.
    No problem... Regards!

At this age, I love tomorrow only when it becomes yesterday because it means I survived another day

    Tomorrow never comes.

Mind you, the same seems to be true of Skip Ahead builds!

Let's be brutally honest - This Skip Ahead campaign has been a virtually a complete waste of time other than early testing of the yourphone app which could have been done on the Fast Ring anyway!

MS have to either make Skip Ahead worth participating in or scrap it in future!!

Agreed, Skippy is not something I envisioned, should be way more than Fast ring. They even backtracked with some features like Sets for instance. They should have kept Sets even if not developing them further, if nothing else, at least to get more experience from users. Still wondering if they gave up on them. In addition some Skippy stuff was behind Fast.
As long as it doesn't damage the system they should really push everything they plan and have at least half cooked/baked for the future.

Yeah - pointless just dealing with bug fixes. The original intent of Skip Ahead was to allow users to get early sight of new features, warts and all, so users could influence MS in telling them if they were going in the right direction. It was never intended to show relatively polished end products - that is what the Fast Ring does as it nears release, and if time runs out, it may get deferred.

Skip Ahead users fully understand (or should do) that new features are likely to be very rough around the edges but are willing to play with them to provide MS user insight to effectively develop the feature. We cannot do that if we never see the feature early.

There is virtually no point in being on Skip Ahead at the moment. Once RS5 is released, the rings merge anyway.
