New Windows 10 Insider Preview Skip Ahead Build 18219 - August 16 Insider

CountMike as I've tried all the usual MBAM settings, never register.. Let Malwarebytes choose... etc I decided to unregister MBAM pro and use their removal tool. Now another problem comes up. It's no longer available unless you are an employee or a customer. I bought MBAM when the lifetime licence was available from third parties so it seems I'm locked out of this tool. Hey-Ho. If you would kindly verify this for me I would be great-full. Here goes Geek Uninstaller.

Uninstalling MBAM via Geek has made no difference anyway to Defender's foibles

Do you mean that Mbam is not available as free version ?

Sorry to not make myself clear. I meant the removal tool that Malwarebytes has made available.

Or not in my case.

Didn't even know it existed., I just use Revo.

Okay and I had to use Geeks this time. The removal tool was available to all until recently. It would even remember your licence and execute a reinstall/repair and produce an error report on the desktop. Seems that is gone unless you are a yearly subscriber.

Not mastered how to get the cursor showing yet but the last seconds of the vid the cursor is the blue ring 'busy' one.

Comes and goes, I run sfc /scannow and dism /online /cleanup-image /restorehealth and although there were no errors fixes SC and WD work now.

Thanks for the offer, much appreciated, but Geeks uninstaller did a good job. I did find an older version on the Major Geeks site but decided not to use it.

Ran sfc once and it opened. Odd.
