My experience has been this is the norm immediately after installing a new build. Normally settles down after a couple of days (if overall performance is not effected).
I had some file integrity violations. Working a lot better now after fix and reboot.

I have just tried the new skip and sketch and it just does not work.

I get the pull down menu and can select the time.

I wait and can select a region BUT nothing gets pasted!

Jeez- has MS tested tis in the slightest!

Worked for me. The top one was not delayed, the 2nd had a 10 sec delay. Images not saved, just taken and immediately pasted into this dialog.

To get this one with the red "fence" I had to save first then drag & drop

Problem is that it got worse, not better. Except for it being more complicated (but with more options than Snipping tool) and having save to .png only. it worked OK.
Hope they don't get rid of Snipping tool until at least this one is fixed. It works fine and it wouldn't kill them to keep it as an option.

What is happening to all the quality software MS used to develop???

All these newfangled apps are far too infantile!!!

They just don't develop them enough before releasing them but that's part of testing. My only gripe is that they shouldn't kill it's predecessor until new app is all finished and good to use.
