Geeks, that hideous Edge Beta icon introduced a few builds ago, it seems to be gone now both from Fast Ring and Skippy builds. I only noticed it now.
Did MS just remove it in quietly after user feedback was so negative, or have they announced about removing the beta icon?
I noticed the same thing, but I have not seen any announcements regarding beta-status removal.
Hi folks
I still like "menus" - I don't want my apps to look they are running on a mobile phone.
The only thing I use edge for is that it has a built in PDF reader otherwise there's no way I'd even consider it. Browsers are a matter of choice - for me FF is fine and now SKY GO is a separate application that doesn't need IE11 I rarely use IE11 (still need it for some Internet service calls when using some SAP software at a client site though).
Other than that new builds seem to be fine - improving (when they actually install !!) but why does the process usually take several times longer than a standard Windows install via Media creation tool !!! Can install Windows in around 15 mins with that -- often takes over 1 hour with the Insider build update / install process --have decent machine and over 1Gb/s internet so can't understand why process often seems to take forever.
Cheers

MS tells us exactly what they think we need to know. Nothing more, nothing less.
The main reasons why there's no or minimal screenshots of Windows for Workstations is that:
- Most users are running Home or Pro
- Windows for Workstations is quite new
- Windows for Workstations cost a lot more that the other versions
- Windows for Workstations is more difficult to get for the average user
- Windows for Workstations does not give any advantage over Home or Pro for the average user
- The average user has hardware, where it makes absolutely no sense to install Windows for Workstations on
