My attempt to create an iso from from UUP dumps failed thrice last night. Hence I started my "check for updates" at 12.30 p.m. local time and was rewarded with the message "Restart now" at about 4.30 a.m. Hopefully I should be able to create an iso from the upgrade files before launching the upgrade process. Cheers.

Just as I suspected, yet another WU FAIL!

Edit: This is what WU has been doing for the last hour after that initial fail:

Edit: This is what Windows decided to do when I did a reboot:

Update: Had to reset PC, computer was doing absolutely nothing during configuration.

Update: This is really ridiculous!!! If I move the mouse 2 pixels, more CPU and HDD activity is happening in the system compared to what Windows Update is currently doing.

Update: OMG!!! I've got up to 2% CPU usage, 100KB/s HDD activity and WU Installing status jumped from 25% to 28%. Insanely fast this update, can hardly keep up with the pace.

Update: After 1.5h I got this:

looks like the update format has changed. another level added!!!!

After the 1st phase, the 2nd reboot stage updates to 100% then goes to a 3rd stage, the "old style" 2nd stage partial about 37%, then restarts a couple times, still takes me 2hrs+

Hahaha, I don't think he cares much. I don't, and I'm being as loud too. This whole IP isn't working anymore. MS priorities has moved away from what's important (at least that is the impression they give).
