    Hi folks
maybe I'm just lucky but build 17735 just works perfectly for me

I don't use IE or edge - Firefox works fine for me so Windows search also is irrelevant.

    Cheers

    Hi jimbo.
Edge and Cortana ie:- Windows Search are the basics on which W10 development rely.

It appears pointless being an Insider participating yet not testing the product as is.

    Cheers Dencal.

    Hi there @dencal
for all sorts of reasons I LOATHE voice activated things like cortana etc.
Edge also IMO is only any good for reading / printing PDF's without needing a 3rd party app.

For surfing FF or other choices to me are infintely better --of course YMMV on that - at least its a choice.

There's more to testing an OS than for simple web browsing --you can use a tablet or phone successfully for that.

What is good to know is that your installed apps including security software and hardware continue to function and usually within the OS itself there will often be improvments in code efficiency and security as well as possibly new features added to the OS.

If you were a developer you presumably would want to know that your development tools still work and certainly if you run VM's that these also continue to function -- sometimes upgrades in the HOST OS cause defects in the Guest OS's running too.

I wouldn't think that Edge and Cortana are the major part of upgrade work being done in the OS.

as for Internet search when you type in anything from the menu - that's been around since XP days -- here it is on an XP VM !!

    jimbo,
Your above quote......There's more to testing an OS than for simple web browsing.

You are missing the point....feedbacks quests etc.....surely your should be voicing your concerns, dislikes and suggestions.

Has anybody tried the new snipping tool replacement - the biggest issue I have is no delay mechanism (or I could not find one). You cannot snip start menu or pull down menus.

Also, the snip type selector is right at top of screen and cannot be moved which is a PITA as it gets obscured by Hyper-V main bar and you have to move that or hide it.

It looks and feels like it was designed for 5 year olds!

    Hi there.
I just want to make sure it works efficiently with my hardware and software - I'm not too bothered for "new features" etc .

If it fails or has major defects then when the time comes I will know not to upgrade on main "work" machines.

I'm sure weird abends etc are sent to Ms anyway with these builds so unless someting is massively wrong I'm happy with the way Windows is (mostly -- no OS is ever to everybody's 100% liking).

I have to agree though replacement (or proposed replacement) for the snipping tool is currently a pile of Dog poo -- as cereberus says no options for delay and I couldn't see a print option either.

    Sent to Ms
