Have had no problems so far with either skippy or fast build. Both seem stable and work as expected.

Well I rebooted and trying to open Defender from the Windows Security app in the start list fails and also from the notification area.

I always deactivate MBAM before installing an upgrade and close it. This time when I opened Malwarebytes, after upgrading, it was still activated?
Back to same issue from a cold boot today. Except screen snip is working.

Taskbar issues I had in the previous build appear resolved.

    Hi there

Latest Skippy fine on 1 machine -- get boot failure on another machine whether via clean install, standard WU update or via ISO and update "in situ".

First time also that a Macrium copy from the OK machine wouldn't boot on the other machine.

Strangely enough current fast ring build is OK and also latest skippy on wintousb boots ok.

Something definitely skew with the WU update process.

Often runs fine as a VM but you do need to test on real hardware as boot problems or WU errors won't be seen a lot of times when running as a VM.

Problems are all on an AMD machine -- who knows maybe Ms only considers INTEL as viable these days (as I would too but I got the machine for NOTHING so it was worth trying).

If I can't get the wretched machine to run Windows properly then I'll use it as a NAS with Linux as the host and just carry on with skippy's as VM's.

    Cheers

Today the problems seem to have gone away and Windows Security opens fine and all the functions are accessible. Must have been something requiring several restarts before it became stable.

    And when might that be?

BTW, I've used sticky notes a little bit, but where would be the best place to stick 'em?
