1st boot after update I had a Desktop with my normal icons but a black background. Rebooted and now it's got the correct theme. A bit disconcerting.
    Mine did same thing Ztruker.

    Hi folks
when it downloads automatically where does it store it -- don't care if it's esd or iso but if I have to re-do the update it downloads the whole wretched kybosh again so I'd like to make an iso of this build.

    Cheers
    thanks

    Hi there
    @Kari
    Thanks

I have to catch this after the download and before re-starting the PC -- if I restart the PC and the upgrade fails then all these files are empty !!! which is probably why it goes through the complete 4GB bonkers download again the next time I "Check for updates".

The PC I'm using fails on even 17713 if done via windows update but upgrades fine if run from within windows (via the iso -- mount iso and run setup.exe to upgrade -- works fine !!!!! so I'm going to try this trick for 17733).

17733 isn't on the Ms site for iso downloads only 17713 so I'll try this method as in the tutorial to create an iso.

    Crazy !!!

    Cheers

The short video in beginning of tutorial shows how you can download the UUP files with UUP Dump. It might work better for you.

    Hi there

    ISO made --thanks @Kari

Now installing upgrade -- seems fine

Not sure why the standard Windows Update method always fails on this PC for these insider builds. Anyway it's good to have the ISO in any case.

    Cheers

Typical, MS having no idea of what's going on. 17713 was so horrible that it broke a lot of things. Now this curse is spread to the Slow Ring too.
