running comodo and chrome with Clear Cache 1.1.2 and Close & Clean 1.3.0.0, firefox with Clean Master, Cookie AutoDelete, and Cookie Eraser. I have CCleaner fixed to only run when i click it's shortcut link since unchecking Active Monitoring auto disables system monitoring and browser monitoring.

    CCleaner v5.46.6652
We're pleased to announce the latest release of CCleaner for Windows.
In this release, we’ve made stability improvements and added better reporting to allow us to deliver faster bug fixes and software improvements.
    Privacy Settings

    • The Monitoring feature and reporting of anonymous usage data can now be controlled separately (previously both were controlled by the ‘Active Monitoring’ checkbox)
    • Added a separate control for the reporting of anonymous usage data
    • Added a link to a Data Factsheet, which explains the data reported from CCleaner, why it’s reported, and what it’s used for (in summary, CCleaner only reports anonymous, statistical data for the purposes of maintaining and improving the app, and it does not report any personal information)

    Smart Cleaning

    • Renamed the ‘Monitoring’ feature to ‘Smart Cleaning’, to better describe its purpose (intelligent cleaning alerts) and underline the fact that it does not report usage data
    • Reworded the ‘System Monitoring’ checkbox to ‘Tell me when there are junk files to clean’
    • Reworded the ‘Browser Monitoring’ checkbox to ‘Enable automatic browser cleaning’
    • Reworded the ‘Active Monitoring’ checkbox to ‘Enable Smart Cleaning’
    • If Smart Cleaning is disabled, CCleaner’s background process will close and the feature will not run on startup (same behavior as in v5.44)

    General

    • Added ‘Minimize to System Tray’ option and restored previous minimize behavior
    • Added ‘Exit’ option to the Tray Icon menu (closes the background process)
    • Fixed various stability issues

Do you think this version can be trusted!?

All good, so far. Just check all your options to make sure you have what you want set. It kept all my scan options and cookies, etc. Does turn the feedback thing on, but just unclick it. No wildcat icons left over in the taskbar. Does close everything when you close. Sets the Task schedule entry for auto-update check, though, even if you say no in options. Just disable it. I unchecked every monitoring option there is, and they all survived a restart.

Ok, so far. YMMV.... as always, your choice....................

I have zero trust in anything Avast touches .CCleaner worked just fine till Avast took it over.

I tested very briefly the portable version. Even when you uncheck Help improve CCleaner by sending anonymous usage data CCleaner 5.46 is still trying to connect to some remote servers (3 different CIDRs) upon start. Needless to say I deleted it straight away.
