3 out of 59 detections seems like a false positive to me.

Please note that Piriform pulled CCleaner version 5.45 on August 3, 2018 with advice to go back to the previous version.

Piriform has stated that they have pulled version v5.45 and made the the v5.44 the latest one available for download.

swarfega, I always get the install file from the link f14tomcat posted, and the virus results are from VirusTotal. I agree with elpusher, these particular results can be false positives. Posted though because they are still worth noting.

Small update. If I extract (unzip) the DL, the x86 is dirty, the x64 is clean.

Perhaps they're trying to dissuade people from using the 32-bit version.

Clone HDCleaner's setting to other machines

For those that decided the Piriform & Avast are not to be trusted anymore, or just want an alternative, and have, like me switched to HDCleaner, I figured out how to transfer your settings, and cookie choices to other PC's or VM's with installs of HDCleaner to make them match, so you won't need to go through the hassle of setting them all up.

Note: most, but maybe not all cookie choices will be transferred.

On your main machine that has HDCleaner setup juuuusssst how you like it:

    1. Go to C:\Users\UserName\AppData\Roaming
    2. Right click the HDCleaner folder
    3. select copy.
    4. Put the copy on OneDrive(if all machines have access to it), a USB stick, or drag and drop if to a VM on same machine.
    5. Now, drag and drop the copy into the same address on the machine you want to clone your HDCleaner settings, and let it overwrite the folder.
    6. Restart and analyze, done
