Just did another restart, there were a couple of "screen flashes" then the computer booted into windows with windows update still asking for a restart. How can I get rid of that?
    Hi,
Try the old Clearing out/ Deleting of ALL Files in C, Windows, SoftwareDistribution Folder.
First you have to run 'services' and right click as Admin and STOP the 'Windows Update' Task, then delete ALL inside the Software Distribution folder.
Re-boot PC and go back into 'services' and 're-start' WU.(you may have to reboot PC again, can not remember)

I'm running WordPerfect X9 with no probs at all on 17223, perhaps try a clean reinstall?
Thanks for the response. WordPerfect isn't high priority for me, but I'll try again later. It was a fresh install, first time I tried to run WP word processor it didn't open at all. But Quattro opened and vanished within 5 seconds. I then ran a repair install. Following that all the apps opened, but vanished after a few seconds.

    Event viewer shows:—

Faulting module name: ntdll.dll, version: 10.0.18204.1001

I assume that is a different version of ntdll.dll to what you have in build 17223 (at least it shows a version number matching the build number here.)

I booted into Safe Mode while running DDU and got a recurring sihost.exe error while I was in it. I was able to complete DDU and boot back into Windows, but it was certainly annoying.
Yes that was exactly same in my case, also had to use DDU because of bummed new AMD graphic driver.

Both working fine on my PC

    C:\WINDOWS\system32 SnippingTool.exe
I have the Snipping Tool on my Quick Launch Bar and it's still working just fine. It's easier to use for simple snips than ScreenPresso.

    Try this if you can...

In Explorer, go to a folder in Details View with many files of different length names, right click a Header and choose 'Size all columns to fit',
    now, scroll to where there may be a file name of a longer length and 'Size all columns to fit' again;
then go back to the previous view and do it again...

does it change the size all the time depending where in the folder you are viewing!?!?!?

You might check to see which version you have on you computer. The update may have failed along the line and rolled back. My first attempt failed, but installed the second time around.

Well updates continue to disappoint. Bluetooth is unusable!!!! Even IF I can get my BT keyboard to connect finally, it renders multiple letters, and goes on uncontrollable runs. I haven't liked a single build over the last few months. This is quickly getting old. If their next update is as crappy as the last five, I will leave the insider program. Really tired of this crap...
