Absolutely mind-blowingly fascinating, totally profoundly illogical minor glitch:
I have my laptop set to blank screens after 15 minutes inactivity. When it happens, when the screens blank, my other laptop loses network connection for a second or two and Explorer on it will restart.
No logics here, screen going blank should in no way cause any network traffic, and especially it should not cause any reaction on other networked devices. Yet, this happens every time this laptop has been idle for 15 minutes and screens (laptop's own and external one) go blank.

Just can’t believe it, but then it’s a preview—-maybe this is a new feature?? Well, you never know. Keeps one guessing for sure.

Thank you sir, but really I believe this is somewhat confusing in the sense that you are posting 17728 builds in a 18204 thread.
RS5 and RS6 (or whatever they will call it) are completely separate...are they not.?

Therefore IMO the threads should be completely separated, even as an alert or message forum url link to notify of new builds as I don't believe those reading and using Skip Ahead (18204) are interested in RS5 builds?
    One thread for 177xx Builds
    One thread for 182xx Builds

Sorry I sound like a PITA, but even somewhat confusing for this old bugga from down under :)

the threads should be completely separated,
Which is exactly what's happening, Ash.

On July 25, Brink announced that Microsoft had concurrently released Build 17723 to Windows Insiders in the Fast Ring and Build 18204 to Windows Insiders who opted in to Skip Ahead, both of which are essentially the same with some minor differences. Today, using this thread, Brink Announced Microsoft's release of Build 17728 to Windows Insiders, giving us a link to the new thread. If he hadn't given us this link at the "end of life" of the current Build, we wouldn't have known Build 17728 had been released.

Update: New Windows 10 Insider Preview Fast Build 17728 - July 31 Insider - Windows 10 Forums

The way it works is that we should follow this link to the new thread. Essentially, we're through with this thread and should navigate to the one covering Build 17728. This starts the "official" split between the "Fast Ring" Insider Builds and "Skip Ahead" Insider Builds. When Microsoft releases a new Build to us, whether it be Fast Ring or Skip Ahead, Brink will announce it in the appropriate thread, we will follow the link to the new thread, which will contain the announcement from Microsoft's Windows Blog.

Each time a new Build is announced by Microsoft (Insider Fast Ring or Insider Skip Ahead), Brink will "break into" the current Build thread and give us a link to the thread for the "newest" Build. Again, we follow that link and pretty much abandon the current thread for the "new kid on the block".

Why should we abandon this thread if we are on the Skippy build and not on the normal fast ring? I wonder how many Skippy user got excited and thought they were getting a new build.

A new thread starts on each build, Skippy and now Fast, as they have now each, a build.

I checked as soon as I saw a new build was released. It wasn't until I saw no updates available that I realized it wasn't for Skippy.

You do got a point, Winuser. it was past 1:00 AM and I guess I wasn't thinking clearly.

What I should have said is that when you get a new Skippy Build, you abandon the old Skippy thread and when there's a new Fast Ring Build, you abandon the old Fast Ring thread.
