It's downloading now. Third batch of Fixes THIS MONTH, for an O.S. that's nearing it's third anniversary? Did Microsoft lose its best programmers over recent years?

After installing, rebooting and shutting down I was unable to connect to my WiFi.

Reverting back to 17134.167 got it going again, let's see if the next time it installs it breaks....

Still haven't fixed the issue with it taking a couple minutes to show the green all good on the Security icon in the tray if you have a 3rd party AV. (Bitdefender here aka the best hands down)
Here this only happens after a reboot. Not when completely shutting down/restart. Very weird!

Very slow with just Windows Defender. Been since it recommends to setup and connect to OneDrive in the event of ransomware IME.

That too, never had that before. But after restart everything's honkey-dorey again if it never happened? Hopefully that goes away with the next big update... :/

I get this symptom whether I restart, or shut down and reboot - in other words, always.
How is your Fast start-up set?
    Worth changing it perhaps?

I always set mine off, NOT as recommended because I don't like Fast start-up

Nah, they're probably off trying to dumb down Skype a bit more....

When I was working, MS in UK offered me a 6-month contract. After seeing what they were compared to pay compared to other, lesser-known companies, I declined. Might that suggest a reason.......just askin'?

It's not a question of liking it or not. It's a workaround for when you can't resolve a driver issue.

Problems with Fast Shutdown are likely power management issues as the drivers do not function correctly / resume after a hibernate / suspend which is essentially all Fast Shutdown is.

Fast Shutdown only gives a benefit unless you remove the bottleneck, which is the spinning HDD.

I don't like it because whatever sort of shut-down or restart I do, I want the PC to completely shut down and reload everything.
As you say, the faster starting utilises Hibernate and as such is not a REAL shut down.

Also as I have SSDs it's a bad idea to hibernate, so I don't actually use it. The reason I haven't disabled hibernation is in case I did want to use it for some reason - the last thing I want is Windows making that decision for me!
