    I know, but I rather think it's just a stay of execution - MS will ultimately pull the plug on V7. Hopefully the missing functions will gradually appear over time, so I figured I might as well get used to v8 now.

    I understand your point completely. In vague terms (MS would never do that......), they implied part of the reason for the time extension was to give them time to add requested features and "clean it up". So, wait and see. Or just wait!
