It's been a long while since I did a clean install. Big change. So many questions during installation. Quite annoying but can't complain. :)
You're a brave man. Clean installs are a PITA, especially with all the other software to be installed and settings/customization to go through. I haven't done any on my Fast Insider machine since the original one. On the 2 or 3 occasions when installation of a new build was unsuccessful, I rolled back to the previous build and waited for the next new one.

Part of the Insider drill is to go through all the mess and find out what works and what doesn't work. Sometimes update/upgrade issues are due to the bad state of your OS before the download begins. But of course, before I can do a clean install, I have to go through a smooth update so I have a base to create an ISO. Then do a clean install and create an image backup. I don't do a clean install every update. I do it randomly.
Anyway, this is a separate install. Away my my day to day OS. :)

I couldn't find a way of not creating a pin. Most annoying.

You couldn't find a Skip option? I always create a pin but I 99.9999% sure there must be a way to skip the Pin page

I did not put in my microsoft account during the installation so I did not go through the pin part. I just linked my microsoft account when the installation is complete. But to get rid of the login prompt at startup, just do the old "netplwiz" trick.

Yes I kept saying no thanks and it always came back as would you like to create a pin. Couldn't see a skip option so I took the easy way out and created one. No biggie.

There is a bug in the installer that hides the skip pin option that affects some users.

The easiest way round it is to setup a local account during installation, and change to MS account later.
