Applies to: Windows 10 Mobile Enterprise version 1709, Windows 10 Mobile version 1709

    Improvements and fixes

This update includes quality improvements. No new operating system features are being introduced in this update. Key changes include:

    • This build includes all the improvements from KB4338826.
    • [ADDED 7/20] Addresses an issue that only affects OEMs when building test images. Several 2013 signing certificates expired in April 2018, and several more will expire in August 2018. You must use the 2017 signing certificates instead. An updated version of the SecureBoot policy component is required and provided in the Windows 10 Mobile (1709) OS kit. You can obtain additional supporting material (including updated WDK scripts) from your Microsoft engineering contacts.

If you installed earlier updates, only the new fixes in this package will be downloaded and installed on your device.

For more information about the resolved security vulnerabilities, see the Security Update Guide.

    Known issues in this update

Microsoft is not currently aware of any issues with this update.

    How to get this update

I don't suppose it is connected in any way, but shortly after installing this new update I found that the camera on my 950 will no longer focus. It appears to try, but only close items are in focus. As I use the camera quite a lot, it looks like a new phone is needed, but what to get?

I was avid Windows Phone user. Started with old HTC phones (windows mobile 5) ended with windows 10 mobile. I like Windows 10 mobile but... MS put windows phone on extended support recently, it was hard before with lack of dev. support, apps etc. so now it's even harder.
950 is latest high end phone from Microsoft so it should have best support, there isn't much to buy that run windows 10 mobile.
You can try HP elite x3 or 950 XL version, but I can't guarantee that you will have better experience.
There was rumors about Surface phone but it may never come out.
It's hard, but I moved to android..

Thanks for your reply VBJP. After a bit of searching, I find a number of 950 owners have had the same problem and it is down to a sticking lens assembly. I have ordered a replacement camera module off eBay and when it arrives I will, with the help of YouTube, open the phone up and replace the camera. Wish me luck. If not successful I will probably invest in a Samsung S8, but I do like my 950.
