My laptop took 50 minutes total. My desktop took over 3 hours. Both are on a wireless network and have a Samsung EVO 500GB SSD. I would like to find out why the desktop is so slow to update through Windows Update.

lol, I use Edge 100% of the time, except when docked using my mobile. Once MS makes Edge DeX compatible, I won't use any other browser. It works really well for me.

Did i say something wrong in my post ? what word upset you so much,so i can pay attention next time :).

LE: Edge,i refered to Microsoft Edge browser,if that upset you.
It wasn't Edge, Marius. That was Count Mike's joke. FYI, if you really don't know what it was, you used God's name in vain.

I got the new version last evening. I have a dual boot system (separate drives) of the Insider version and my production 10. When I booted my production system this morning all my Favorites (bar) were missing. This is the first time, I assume, an insider version caused a problem with my production system. I was able to recover my Favorites by exporting them from Edge on the insider version and then importing them to Edge on my production system. I also disabled device sync option in Edge on my production system. Hopefully that will fix it.

Wasn't it that with IE & XP that MS was hauled before the competition authorities?
    Something like that.

Yes, IE has/had full integration with system and was impossible to completely get rid of it. Even when "uninstalled" it was still in the background. What EU made them do is just to not push it as default browser and allow easy installation of 3rd party browsers to be default.
And they still change my default browser when I look something up with Bing or Cortana Search! I want to always use my default browser for searches! I don't want it changed to what Microsoft wants!

Same here. I have used Edge as my main browser since October 2014 and first W10 preview. Nothing to complain, apart of a few minor glitches in a few builds.

OK, so now, one of the new "big deals" is shadows on menus?? Looks like we're FINALLY getting away from the "flat look" of Win8 back to the "3D look" of Win7 -- which makes sense now that the mobile devices for which Win8x was designed, in many cases, have higher video resolutions than some desktops.

But, of course, we can't actually say we're going back to 3D design; instead, we have to call it "fluent" design -- so that is sounds new, not retro.
