    OK, so now, one of the new "big deals" is shadows on menus?? Looks like we're FINALLY getting away from the "flat look" of Win8 back to the "3D look" of Win7 -- which makes sense now that the mobile devices for which Win8x was designed, in many cases, have higher video resolutions than some desktops.

    But, of course, we can't actually say we're going back to 3D design; instead, we have to call it "fluent" design -- so that is sounds new, not retro.
    With any luck we'll have transparent title bars again. Actually I think W10 is beginning to look better than W7 and if they would just drop that awful start menu.

    You are kidding, right!?!?

    I guess it's time to try Edge again, but what with its intrusion in everything I do, although FF is my default, you could say I'm already testing it.

    And they still change my default browser when I look something up with Bing or Cortana Search! I want to always use my default browser for searches! I don't want it changed to what Microsoft wants!

    Same here. I have used Edge as my main browser since October 2014 and first W10 preview. Nothing to complain, apart of a few minor glitches in a few builds.
    I will NEVER understand this. Edge is the worst browser on the planet. Has it improved a bit, yes. But is it anywhere nearly as good as Chrome, Vivaldi or FF, NO! And it never will be. I am forced to use edge for my works' software, and I hate it. It is extremely quirky, unpredictable and impossible to customize it the way I want my browser to look and run. It actually pisses me off that M$ spends so much time doing tiny things to improve it, while leaving mainstream things like BT unfixed.

    Agreed! When M$ reintroduces tiny things, like shadows, which they used years ago, and act like they've been working hard to upgrade Windows, it just kills my excitement for new builds. Especially when they remove actual NEW features like sets, because they need to work on it... It all sounds like bs to me...

    My favorite OS of all time was Win 7 Ult, but Win 10 Pro is so far ahead of that now, it's almost a ridiculous comparison. And the start menu right now, is the best it's EVER been. So I have no idea what you are talking about there. You can use it in any way you want to, as it's up to you to configure how you like it. This start menu is ten times more useable and flexible than Win 7's start menu, which was previously the best in mho.
    Thanks for this.

    Agree...

    They prophesy about the new feature, proclaim it from the rooftops as if it's the latest thing since sliced bread, promote the heck out of it, as if they invented the concept themselves, when 3rd parties have been perfecting the concept for years;
    then suddenly the feature disappears!?!?!?
    (Probably got taken to court over it!!!)
