Did your update get installed? Should have advanced to .137
and BTW, no stupidity—we’re all in this together and want to help one another when we can!
for that - my comment about stupidity was because last week I made a rather ill-educated comment to which Bree replied! (I failed to "RTFM", you might say.)

No, I've not bothered with it yet on my "live" PCs which are locked down against updates until I let them install.
(My computer, my rules, thank you MS!)
As I mentioned above, there's nothing exciting in this update so it can wait, possibly until the next patch Tuesday.

No doubt when I fire my test PC up and it checks for updates, it'll grab it.

I'm just tired on MS trying to update everything all the time. Especially with that new project Rome os they are making about trying to be a cloud OS is concerning. Since at that point it will be a cumulative update everyday.
Redbatman, if you wish, you can do updates only on patch Tuesday. Updates like the one today, the ones that MS is regularly releasing at the end of the month, you have to click Check for updates to get it. You wont get it automatically. So, if you don't manually check for updates, you ll get it instead together with the following month patch Tuesday update.

Personally, I kind of like getting 2 smaller updates every month rather than a larger one on patch Tuesday. FWIW, today's update went well, all appears to be working fine.

No sign of an update yet for me in the UK even with a manual check.

Thanks for the heads-up as always @Brink. Updating all machines now. Goofed off yesterday afternoon and missed this.
    Thanks again,
    --Ed--

Note added 30 minutes later: One of my machines hit an "interesting" snag in attempting to apply the update: The Lenovo T520 laptop. WU never finished its update check. And when I attempted to install the manual update from the Catalog, it hung on the "checking for updates" phase of its activities. WUMT is now attempting to download the update without apparent success, either. I'm going to reboot and attempt a re-install of the manual update. Something odd is going on with WU on that machine, apparently. Hopefully, I'll get it installed soon anyway. We'll see...

WUMT didn't say it was downloading the Cumulative Update, but it just now reported successful completion and has asked for a reboot. I'll reboot and check the Windows version in Winver ... Display says it's "Working on updates" in the pre-reboot phase ... just hit 30% mark, now restarting ... rebooting right now ... "Getting Windows ready" ... Updates completed, on splash screen ... Worked!

Yet another instance where WU hangs and a first case where a manual catalog update FAILS to install, rescued yet again by WUMT. Great program to keep in your admin toolkit!

Desktop and 2 laptops updated fine, surprised as all 3 need repair install with last update!

Store and System Restore problems still remain though.

I have found that once update gets hung searching for updates, the manual catalog update will not work unless you stop the windows update service first.
