@swarfega, hope you have/had a great birthday, anyway. To be at your age again, wow. And this is the longest day of the year, so there’s extra time to celebrate.
RE: Periodicity & Distribution of Sets (Insider Build 17692 - Page 18 here):
These days I am but a spectator of the MS do-si-do. However, this is far from my first diagnostic sashay. I grew up with an uncle who spent his whole life at IBM. To boot, I do have understanding about how their minds oft work. Computational integration isn't easy work, e.g., F(x) is the integral of f(x) if dF/dx = f(x) -- got it?
The intrinsical periodicity of Sets in its current state of development should not discombobulate or distract those who are initiated to the overall testing process. Limited distribution of Sets seems to be guided by intellect, plus rooted in logic. Except as is integral to software design, coders tend to have little tollerance for redundancy when vast multitudes parrot that of which they are quite well aware. How many times need you be told your fly is open whilst trying to fix the zipper?
Love 'em or hate 'em, they're people just like us. Should y'all determine that I'm full of hooey, simply ignore my shmegegge and I promise my feelings won't be hurt. Just be nice to me, or else you might force me to become an Insider, then you'ld have to put up with my long-windedness on a daily basis -- not pretty. For now I'm happy just sittin' off to the side watching y'all have all the fun! -Larry :)
All serious programmers I know are peculiar bunch. If not outright geeks they tend to behave Jeckil&Hyde personality when they switch to programming mode. Suddenly they start speaking in strange language and train of thoughts switches to another rail. Layman's logic is replaced by some strange logic not in any books. I tried classical programming for Unix a long time ago but my brain works wrong way to be successful, it's more geared toward hands on, eyes on, see immediate results way. Only programming I succeeded in was programming CAM machines but that's more in my way of seeing things and being able to see a machine do things in my mind before it happens. I made many machines, even whole production lines without putting anything on paper before it was working.
