Yes, they all do. I use Winaero Tweaker to solve that and many other settings.

That one didn't work for me for long time now, it just leaves a white square instead of arrow.

I'm having an issue and apparently no one else is.

I use the optical output of my Creative X-FI soundcard. Since this update the "optical out" and "line" show as options but the "speaker" option which is used to access properties of the sound card to tell it to use the optical out is not detected/showing and I cannot get sound at all.

When I access "creative settings error: "The audio device supported by this application is not detected"

I have installed the driver and tried many options as I am an MCP from way back.

Who do I report this to? Any advice?

    Thanks for any advice.
So in order to get my sound workng I had to roll back the driver to generic High Def windows audio driver and of course stereo is the highest and only multi channel option..

    Well....this sucks.

Anyone else having issues with Cortana freezing when trying to manually set a reminder? It happens every time I try to make one.

Guess I'll just set them in my phone until the next build drops.

I'm running from the optical out to a samsung surround system. It's a driver issue for the soundblaster x-fi card though in conjunction with the beta OS.

There's a drivers issue with Creative sound cards that started with build 17682. I have a Audigy 5 and i have the same problems you have. The audio card is detected under Device Management but when I open the Creative control panel to lower microphone, set audio effects for my voice and so on it says that there's no card in the system. It's very annoying. Hopefully it's fixed for the next builds.

Go into the properties of the card in device manager and remove it checking the box to delete driver. REboot. Then after it installs go back to device manager properties and ROLL BACK the driver to "High Definition audio device" driver. It will work but you wont have surround or other bells and whistles.

That's good to know, but I'll wait until Microsoft fix this mess they created. Thanks anyway though.

    Anyone else notice:

    NO MORE SUPERFETCH..

Wonder if they re-named it or merged it.

Man oh man....the excessive amount of redundant type services showing up. Wow. Windows Medic Update Service....heh. Love that one. I'm just happy we can still deep six many of em.
