The update tool updated mine Mike. I'm pretty sure you would have to do it twice. It should update only the bios you are booted into.
    Hi,
    I asked on evga forum
Missed it but there was already a thread on it.

@eLPuSHeR I just checked for you, and the link is now active.
If it still doesn't work for you, let me know, I put a copy on OneDrive just in case

OK, updated with the Nvidia update , card bios is same as bofore. Does this mean that the update is applied to the system bios on boot, if so what happens if and when you up date your motherboard bios with a new micro code.

This update doesn't change the VBIOS, only the graphics output protocol (GOP). It's two seperate things. If it changed video bios, a heap of issues would arise with sub-vendors.

I used the update tool and then went to update the drivers. The update tool worked great and I rebooted several times to make sure. When I tried to update the drivers, something went wrong and I couldn't boot. I restored a Macrium image from a day earlier. The update tool said it was updated still after the macrium restore. So, it has to change something in the card firmware and not the OS. I suspect it does not change the bios, but does something else.

To enable the latest DisplayPort 1.3 / 1.4 features is what the firmware update was for.
For information that you need to go to VESA: DisplayPort | High Performance Digital Technology

For anyone with a HDR screen, go to the Microsoft store here: DisplayHDR Test

The DisplayHDR™ Test Tool allows users to confirm the display parameters including brightness, color and contrast performance of high dynamic range (HDR) laptop and desktop monitors as per the set forth in VESA’s High-Performance Monitor and Display Compliance Test Specification (DisplayHDR).

Created by VESA®, the Video Electronics Standards Association, this new test tool has a simple keyboard interface that enables professional and lab-level users of off-the-shelf calibration colorimeters to test and evaluate HDR displays at the three performance levels (DisplayHDR 400, 600 and 1000) outlined in the DisplayHDR specification.
