    Release Date: 2018.06.04
    Operating System: Windows 8.1 64-bit, Windows 7 64-bit, Windows 10 64-bit, Windows 8 64-bit

To enable the latest DisplayPort 1.3 / 1.4 features, your graphics card may require a firmware update.

    • Boot using DVI or HDMI
    • Boot using a different monitor
    • Change boot mode from UEFI to Legacy; or Legacy to UEFI.
    • Boot using an alternate graphics source (secondary or integrated graphics card)

Once you have the tool downloaded, please run the tool and follow the on-screen instructions.

@eLPuSHeR, just so you know, it's not on your end.
I was going to download it for you, and provide a OneDrive link, but I tried a few times and received the 404 also.

I just updated my firmwate and tried to update the graphics driver and ended up with nothing but a black screen.Nothing I tried would fix it. Maybe I could have fixed it eventually if I kept trying, but I just restored a Macrium image I had made yesterday. Now I am back up and running fine.

It wasn't the firmware update that caused it. I rebooted twice after that update with no problems. I think it was DDU. After uninstalling the old drivers I used DDU to boot into safe mode which it refused to do. Besides, the FW update for the card has nothing to do with Windows or drivers if it did what I think it did, which is a BIOS update to the card. That part went smooth and worked fine.

At any rate, Macrium to the rescue again.

I checked for an update using GeForce Experience, and it showed I was up-to-date(and I was).
Another reason not to use 3rd party tools for extreme "nuking"

Maybe I misunderstood you Steve(I told you yesterday I'm taking some strong meds for my back)
You said DDU might be the cause?
I think it was DDU. After uninstalling the old drivers I used DDU to boot into safe mode which it refused to do.
I don't nuke all my drivers, and just let GF Experience do the work(being I don't own a single game, it's the only thing I use it for, and I always update "on-top-of", instead of selecting "clean install"). GF experience can now be set up not to run in the background now, so why not use it?
