Thanks Cliff. Sorry to hear about your back health issues. I really hope you get better soon.
You're welcome, and thanks for the well wishing.
On the 22nd they're going to stick me it the MRT tube and take a look, because not only the lower back hurts(possible lumbago), but also everything under my knee is slightly numb, like in the winter when you stand around in the cold too log with out moving.

I had the same issue a few years ago. Bad back and numbness down below knee on right leg. MRI revealed a couple bulging discs. Had scope surgery and back is fine but I let it go too long and some of the numbness remained in the leg as the nerves died. Good Luck
Also my update went smooth also.

Well at least it wouldn't hurt so damn much, when I bang my shin on the forklift's front wheel wells

I'm using displayPort 1.2 monitors and I just updated without issues. In case I ever get a DP 1.3 or 1.4 monitor with crazy 4K, 120Hz, HDR and Gsync, my graphics card is now supported.

I just updated my firmwate and tried to update the graphics driver and ended up with nothing but a black screen.Nothing I tried would fix it. Maybe I could have fixed it eventually if I kept trying, but I just restored a Macrium image I had made yesterday. Now I am back up and running fine.

It wasn't the firmware update that caused it. I rebooted twice after that update with no problems. I think it was DDU. After uninstalling the old drivers I used DDU to boot into safe mode which it refused to do. Besides, the FW update for the card has nothing to do with Windows or drivers if it did what I think it did, which is a BIOS update to the card. That part went smooth and worked fine.

At any rate, Macrium to the rescue again.
    Hi, @essenbe
I was thinking our firmware update might have to come from evga
Seeing evga made our bios and there are 2 master and slave bios on the ftw3 ?

The update tool updated mine Mike. I'm pretty sure you would have to do it twice. It should update only the bios you are booted into.

I had never noticed any problems, but the tool said I needed the update. So I got it. All seems OK.
