    No, they actually added some Linux support to Windows 10. The Windows Subsystem for Linux for example. Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ) | Microsoft Docs And SSH support.

    Linux stuff in the Store too but for BASH users.

    I installed Debian GNU, my Pi's run Raspbian which is based on Debian, so it seemed to make sense to go that way. To be honest I haven't done very much with it. Not yet anyway. It's only command line, but better than no support at all.

    I think those apps might be more useful to sysadmins the run Linux servers.

    Your probably right. I'm still a bit of a Linux Noob to be honest. The SSH I plan on using though.
