Got cursor working in CMD though not rebooted yet. Went to properties - options tab - ticked box for 'use legacy console...' apply ok. Closed and reopened and not showing sets but cursor white. Back to properties to reverse action and close and open CMD.

Well it worked the first time but can't replicate it now
Will stick to legacy mode for now.

No cursor, or same colour as background - maybe it will be visible after a background colour change?
When I commented earlier on Kari's question I jumped to the confusion that his pointer was the problem.
Now, after several reboots I do not have a visible cursor in the Command window. Or the PowerShell window. Changing colors does not alter the situation.

Edit. Confirming that using legacy mode as noted by Fabler2 results in a visible cursor.

    Interesting...

Two 17682 ISO images. First one created with UUPtoISO tool from UUP Dump download, trying to upgrade an activated Windows 10 PRO installation asks for a product key:

Upgrade not possible. I have enough product keys available, whatever valid retail or multiple activation keys I try, the key is not accepted.

Second ISO made with UUPtoISO from WU downloaded UUP files, upgrade does not ask product key and upgrade proceeds without issues:

ISO images (W10 PRO build 17682 x64 EN-GB) are also clearly different. The one created from WU downloaded UUP files:

Name:	image.png
Views:	74
Size:	144.7 KB
ID:	190818

The one created from UUP Download is significantly smaller:

Size:	148.2 KB
ID:	190820

Anyone able to confirm this, upgrade failing with UUP Dump ISO because a product key is required?

    cant confirm about product key.

But the second file is bound to be smaller its showing as an N version, no WMP etc.

Solved a problem that was baffling me starting with build 17666 (the demon build). Microsoft is no longer including the firmware to boot from BIOS based (not UEFI based) motherboards. I really wonder if this is just an oversight or MS is no longer going to support older BIOS based mobos going forward. I have confirmed by creating a VMware 14.1.2 VM with a virtualizaed UEFI disk and it booted off the 17682 ISO I created and the system installed (you guys REALLY don't like offline accounts but for now you still can create one).

Also besides not mentioning this (or did I somehow miss it?) you STILL are including the USESRS Download folder in Disk Cleanup (even if you choose to clean SYSTEM files). I wonder if this will be a feature going forward forward). I don't believe anybody on this forum was in favor of this change either.
I have to wonder if UEFI versus standard BIOS plays into the ability to get sets -- my two computers that will run sets are UEFI's and the one which says it has sets installed is a standard BIOS - on which sets will not run. The other computer - laptop is BIOS based and will not run sets. Is there a connection, does anyone know?

I switched to the inverted large pointers, in dark theme the pointer is white...
I always use the inverted large pointer. It's just a no-brainer.
