Better yet...why is it tied to a browser at all?
Just another way to pat their selves on the back and brag about the number of Edge users.

Seems like everything is tied to Edge - Cortana's functionality, multiple apps that perform search, and SETs. And, I would have no problem if Edge was reliable and used extensions in the same way as other browsers do -- rather than having to have their extensions reprogrammed to work with Edge.

I think that the fact that clicking on the + sign opens an Edge tab is temporary, they are exploring options...

The idea of Microsoft with Sets is to open different apps in the same set and not just open another tab of the same app (or file explorer) that is already open, taking into account this, I think in the future there could be another symbol to the side of the +, it could be an arrow down, when clicking on the + sign, a tab of the same app that is already open will open and when clicking on the arrow, a list with all the apps that are installed will be displayed, something like this:

In fact, I think that Microsoft is already exploring this option because, when opening a new tab in Sets, there is a list of apps like the one that appears on the left side of the Start menu:

In a tweet, Jason Howard already mentioned the other symbol next to the +, but his idea is different from mine:

I think SETS should work with default browser, not be forced to use Edge....
Just another way to get around the EU rules and regs about browsers!

Sorry. The more all these Fast/Skip updates focus on Edge (and Sets in so far as they are linked) the less likely for me to test anything but getting the update to install and make an ISO (although I'm less interested in even that if the result is an unbootable Windows environment where mly only choice is perhaps using a Sankrit keyboard layout

Now Buildfeed has jumped to 17682 (Firday compile) so perhaps tomorrow we will see something.
