This is the error I get on my desktop and laptop when I try to run UUPDump. On my desktop I even tried running from a new download.

Here is what solved the problem for me. First thing, I turned off Malwarebytes (Premium) for me. Edge began to work. Turned MWB back on, Edge failed. I was thinking that MWB should be in the process of writing a new update so I checked and installed the latest update 3.5.1.2522, rebooted and now it works as normal. YMMV
When I get back on my desktop I'll try turning Malwarebytes Premium off and see if that fixes Edge.

I've been experimenting & using the Ransonware/Protected Folders option in Windows Security...adding some additional folders when a warning appears (for programs I use). Seems to work very well.

My question is when the next build comes out would you advise me to switch off the Ransomware feature during the upgrade process, just in case Windows blocks the update () ? May seem an odd question but it would not surprise me if some update files were blocked.

    Thanks, for your thoughts.

Did you run the update.cmd first?

Update.cmd was the first thing I ran. I was hoping that there was a update to UUPDump so I deleted it and downloaded it again. I still get the same results. I downloaded UUPDump on my HP desktop that is running the Pro version of the April 2018 update and it works. I'm going to make the ISO with my HP desktop and try doing in place repair installs and see if that fixes my problem.

Thanks meebers! The problem was with Malwarebytes. I updated to the latest build and Edge is running again.

Am I the only one who has had zero problems/issues installing and using the last 10 or so releases ?

I have yet to have a single issue with an update. I guess I'm lucky
    LOL
I'm just lucky I guess, but I have had zero problems with any updates so far

I have 3 computers all of which have sets enabled. However, even though all have identical settings for sets, only one will display sets. Can someone please tell me why? And, the one which displays sets on this build was not the one which would display sets on previous build...…….
Well, as of today, another computer has suddenly decided to ‘activate’ SETS so now I have two with which to experiment. But I don’t understand the coming and going of this feature.

YW! Spent 2 days on & off troubleshooting the hard stuff and in the end the simple thing did the trick. I usually get notification from MWB of an update, this time I did not ?

I think I just fixed my problem with UUPDump on my laptop. After setting Edge as my default browser instead of Firefox UUPDump ran without any errors. I'll try it on my desktop tonight after I get home from work.
