Edge is quite energy efficient. I've been using if for watching YouTube videos on my laptop for the last 6months. No issues at all.

To be honest, I've almost forgot that I have Chrome installed.

Unless you are using a notebook or laptop this test is not applicable to a PC.

Yep - MS would get slaughtered if they could not backup their claims. Of course any benchmark test is only as good as the tests used.

So true. Ofcourse different devices have slightly different battery life. As the title states, this is an experiment, not an official test. Nevertheless, it still gives a good picture of where Edge is at regarding battery consumption. That 98% for Firefox is a HUGE difference, but Edge vs Chrome could have gone either way.

The quality of The Laptops is a factor as well -High End no doubt.
