They could fix said users folder too, if you type swarfega as your name you expect it to be that and not swarf.
That is easy to fix by yourself when installing Windows and creating initial user account, or when creating users later on. Always create your users as local (offline) accounts using whatever username you'd prefer, and that name will be used for user profile folder.

Sign in to desktop with new local account, only then switch to Microsoft account. Doing it this way keeps your preferred user profile name also with MS account.

If you create a user as Microsoft account, then the profile will be named with a five character abbreviation from that email address. If user Joe Doe with an MS account email joe.doe@some-email-provider.com uses that email when creating a user account, the profile folder will be named as joedo. If he wants profile name Joe instead, he must first create a local account naming it Joe, then switch to MS account.

In your case, next time you'll do a clean install, do it with local account Swarfega, then switch to MS account after booting to desktop first time. Your MS account user profile will now be Swarfega instead of swarf.

Hahah, while they were at it, why not add the whole users folder to disk cleanup.
I noticed that too when I was cleaning the install. I unchecked it but it would be easy to miss,

That is a good workaround. But the question remains - WHY did MS change the default in naming the initial user?

Here's proof that MS included the default Downloads folder in Windows Disk Cleanup at least as far back as 17666 (the mark of the devil build indeed:))

You obviously set up your account as MS account out of the box?

Microsoft just made a change to the back button of the Store specially designed for those who are testing Sets in RS5:

This means that the Store will integrate well with Sets in the same way that other apps like Groove or Movies & TV already do, that is, the name of the app will no longer appear duplicated in the upper left, something I mentioned here, the problem is that, apparently, this Store update is only available (for now) for the Release Preview ring, LOL.

Yeah, this is just moronic!!!! Why in the hell would they put the downloads folder into disk cleanup??? That's a really stupid move on M$'s part, and they will screw up a ton of people with that one.

I never use that default Downloads folder, always on secondary disk. Doing that for many years and never regretted it. Same for documents etc.
Yeah, I move my downloads, music, documents and video folders to a data disk, but many, many people will get screwed up with this. You have to wonder what they were thinking here...

Usually the Downloads folder contains a lot of junk. But the cleanup should not touch anything else but system and temporary files, nor any other user data.

Ughh - that is a really bad change. I always regarded stuff in disk cleanup as temporary crap. Now I will have to remember to UNTICK that option, when I select everything else.

I am going to complain on feedback about this really bad change.
