I reinstalled this update and have rebooted twice now. It's not near as bad as before but I can still tell a difference. Inspectre says I am fully protected even though my CPU was not on the list.

Should I believe Inspectre and be happy it says I am fully protected?

Yes, I noticed that when I got to looking deeper into the subject last night. I find it weird that my CPU is not listed in that section but the CPUID is.

I get a slight but noticeable slowdown after installing this update.

If you want additional confirmation that you're protected, Microsoft has a PowerShell script that you can install and run.

Thank. I ran that last night to check and was not. I ran it after posting that earlier and it says I am.

The slow down from this was not the update for the microcode. It was Windows Defender. I switched back to Bitdefender and now This PC loads fast like it did before the microcode update. Go figure

AD, I'm afraid you do attract weird things, like a magnet! :)
What about Inspectre. After disabling WD, what does it say in Performance now?
