For those who've said "no lag" in this build (and the last couple, for that matter): Are you including the type of lag some/many are seeing when closing certain Win32 windows? Skype classic being an easy example of one of many that do it here most of the time.

Because if some aren't seeing this, then I have to wonder if it can be narrowed, perhaps, to the type of graphics (Nvidia here) or any number of other things. No way it's overall system speed though, or the amount of RAM (16GB here), as we're talking about something extremely basic and the opposite of taxing.

this build is very poor compared to the previous few; tons of screen re draws, much slower, stuttering, more like a beta build than any recently

Might be my problem or help to get Sets back? I don't know but looks as if you use refresh it kills Sets for some reason. Will look at the laptop tomorrow. Thanks for reply.

I boosted my dpi up to 120% a bit ago, that may have had something to do with it; back to normal now, (I think!)

I am talking about tools that modify the system in a way that is not intended by MS.

A media player or a web browser is something completely different. If the application is 100% Windows guideline compliant it will work for sure. If not, then it's not following guidelines to the letter.

Windows has certain apis and directory structures that all apps should use. Some apps however deviate from this and should not be a part of beta testing a Windows build.
    Well said, Slice. I agree . . .

Education edition is almost identical to Enterprise, but there are a few features missing since 1709.
Pro Education is the same but does not have Cortana, Spotlight and Windows Store suggestions. It is also possible to setup a computer with specific settings setup by the educational institution, by using an usb thumbdrive with all the settings.
Have PRO-EDU-and ENT - need to track down a PRO-EDU iso. and give it a try.
