My timeline does not have those arrows. I have no idea where you are in TL. As when I open my TL, it doesn't look anything like that.
Maybe they are A / B tests, Joe Belfiore showed this on Tuesday in the Build 2018:

Just noticed a possible bug...maybe just my system? If I have programs tabbed, mine are 'Newsleecher' & 'Tag & Rename', if I minimise the main window then from the taskbar click on either, they become parted..e.g. no longer tabbed. This did not happen in the previous build. Happens also with File Explorer. maybe it's because I used the Mach2 tool to get Sets?Does anyone else have the above (with the Mach2 tool in use?)
Nope. That's just your computer. I just put Kodi, Macrium, edge and calculator together, minimized the whole thing. Then chose Macrium from the taskbar, and all of them came back up, with the Macrium tab opened. Did the same thing again, and chose Edge browser, and got the same results. And I also used the Mach2 tool to get sets.
In fact, I just noticed you can double click any of the tabs from the taskbar, and it will bring up that tab opened as stated, and you can click again to minimize all of it. So it acts like an app switcher.

Sorry, I missed what you were doing. Those are tabbed windows in TL. I hadn't done much with sets since updating, so Mine didn't have a sets window in TL. Yeah, that is definitely new. Sorry I misunderstood you.

Thanks. Very interesting. I tried Edge, Macrium & Calculator together tabbed. Minimised and clicked on each from the taskbar. They all stayed together! Maybe it's because 'Tag&Rename' is a portable program & Newsleecher is not? Anyway, all interesting tests :)

Now if they really wanted this to be useful, they should allow Excel and Word (and other Office apps) to be tabbed in with the other programs. Wow!!! Then I could do some incredible things. But tried Excel just now, and it has NO tabs.

Yep, that's probably the first thing they added support for. The introductory presentation even contained a bunch of O365 apps. :)

I am sure most of you got a letter from MS (Dona).

"Hello Windows Insider, We noticed that you ran 13 different Windows Insider Preview builds during the RS4 development cycle. .. Our system shows that your PC may not be set up to receive Insider Preview builds. " ??

Installed 17666 last night. 1.5 hours for getting ready, downloading and installing. Less than 10 minutes for working on updates. Again there was a forth reboot at 100%. All is working so far.

17666 would not update (same for 17661) ... Sits a Preparing to Install 100% for a couple hours and when it does finally decide to continue it fails and starts all over again ... Grabbed the dump / created ISO / did an in place upgrade and everything appears to be working.
