    @alphanumeric a quick question:
The Education MAK key was for Windows 10 or Windows 8/8.1, cause I have an 8.1 MSDNAA (Academic) key, which has never been used and I was wondering if it will be activated when entered in a Win10 clean installation.
I think it will still work, Ddelo.

OK, after a few days with 1803, I can say that the update is working out just fine in my W10. I haven't experienced any issue, I tracked this thread and read every post, the only thing that I am seeing that some people have reported is the setting that mentions Windows insider in Settings>Privacy. I am no insider so that's wrong. But other than that, there is nothing and the machine is working nice.

I updated checking for updates manually on the 30th. The first couple of days I wasn't too sure if I did the right thing updating that day but right now, after the dust has settled down, I am happy I did as I got the update out of the way and without any issue in the system.

I noticed only one, but major issue with 1803 after a few days. In Uplay game client, while doing basically nothing just chatting it randomly freezes the whole application and then the whole desktop or in some cases I can still move mouse, click Start button, but then for example I can not restart the PC or logout, system is not responding. I'm forced to do hard reset in that case and I had to do that 4-5 times already.
Sounds like "Chrome freezing issue" and really hope it will be fixed on Tuesday.

SUPERFLY ! Many thanks for your fine job , its perfect now ! No PowerShell-screen with reboot anymore and this regkey ; NtfsDisableLastAccessUpdate keeps at "1" , all the time and also after starting external HDDs in Windows , very happy with this solution ! Though when searching I found ; " 【Win10】 Is the value of registry NtfsDisableLastAccessUpdate changed in A2U Bug Beware of SSD force [Update 3 Discovery of workaround] Establishment of niche PC gamer environment " ………..!
This could mean , the SSD-Optimizer is not updated yet for RS4 , 1803 .
Could be it should "say" ; optimal optimized with key set on "80000003" ( which is new default in RS4)
It does now only when set at "1" ……….
Anyway will keep using your solution and rest me the question ; how can I reward you for your fine work ……..??
Anything I can do in return...……., you name it...…!

I tried again to update the backup pc(my Lenovo H530 with Windows 10 Pro N) and failed.
I was thinking it might be the Media Pack causing it, but there is no uninstall in Programs & Features or in the settings app, I even looked in Geek Uninstaller, so screw it, I'll do a clean install, and only install the UWP stuff, make an image, then install the media pack, make another image(just incase Fall 2018 Update doesn't install with it installed)

No need for 3rd party stuff on that machine, as it would all need to be updated if I "had" to use the machine. I just exported a list of all the programs I'll need to install then, and as I keep copies on OneDrive of all my installers, I'm good there.

But damn, I hate clean installing
I set up my system pretty complicated, wit all libraries, OneDrive, and VM's on other(preferably their own) drives.

Fingerprint login stopped working after the Spring Update. Swiping my finger has no effect trying to login so I have to use my PIN. If I try to setup the fingerprint login again, I click on "get started" and nothing happens. If I remove the device in device manager and re-add it, I can set it up again. But, with a restart, the fingerprint reader will act the same way. I have tried updating and downgrading the biometric reader driver but it does not help. I have also disabled auto updates for the device with group policy. Very annoying.

A happy customer is reward enough.. besides I learn a lot from these things .. I do a lot of research when coding stuff I'm not familiar with which reaps it's own rewards.. so thanx for highlighting this..

BTW: If SSD-Optimizer is merely looking at the registry key to report optimization, it's not very well written?

I have updated the script to v3 (and put it in my github repo to illicit any comment from my peers there) to comply with Standard User access - It runs on System authority - problem is, as System has higher authority it overides Admin and updates the registry without UAC prompt (which is not supposed to happen .. a big security hole IMHO)

What method did you try? Windows update? MCT Upgrade now? MCT ISO setup.exe? If you already mentioned it, my apologies, thread is long so its easy to miss stuff.

I'm not sure if I am extremely lucky that I've not seen much bugs on my personal computer on this, but after 5 days of helping a few users… Gheez… I can't believe how darn buggy this build is. The Windows toolbar and UI is all wonky, especially in the security center. Recovery partitions are signed a drive letter now, hidden drive partitions (EFI) are warning about no disk space, Chrome is freezing, Cortana is freezing, graphics drivers are resetting after sleep/hibernation, drivers are incompatible, touchscreens and pads are broken and/or reset… And this is just a small fraction of what I've noticed for just a few days. And these are recurring aswell. Honestly, here I thought Microsoft was sensible when they delayed it due to a blocking bug, but this though… I know things can get broken when upgrading, but this is puke. This update should be removed from WU and pushed to May and be called the Mayday Update.
