Windows 10 April 2018 Update now available Monday, April 30

I understand that. It seemed like Wynona was suggesting that a 'new' .1 might be issued with the .5 fixes worked into it.
Presumable a CU will be issued shortly after the 8th. I am wondering what it will bring the build number to. .5? Something higher? If the latter, will .5 update to the new build level, or will it be 'off the path'.
Yep, I kinda stubbed my toe there. If I'd thought about it, I'd have known better.

It's not officially available as an
automatic update until 8th May, so you are actually quite blessed
There are several legitimate methods to manually force the issue, but it's probably best to let it take its course :)
Ah, the key here is "automatic update"! I've seen posts from several people saying they checked for updates and got it. That's why I tried it just for grins.
I also downloaded the ISO from Microsoft servers and have my USB stick ready to upgrade the other computers in the house.

Where do I look to see that oem partition issue? I don't see any additional drive letters on mine.
Disk Management.
I don't have that on my Lappy that upgraded yesterday.

After reading this I decided to test my own network printer. Thankfully it works perfect.
Yes mine is fixed also, just needed to reinstall the printer drivers.

Yes, that's the way it works. Windows update won't start automatically finding the 'Features Update to Windows 10, version 1803' until the 8th, but from 30th on it will find it if you do a manual check for updates - it's by design....
Microsoft said:
The April 2018 Update is available today if you go to Windows Update and manually check for updates. We will begin the global rollout out via Windows Update on May 8.
How to get the Windows 10 April 2018 Update

On my HP 4440 the Spring update gave drive letter to recovery. This machine was updated through Check for updates.

This has been known to happen occasionally with previous upgrades, it's nothing new in the 1803 one.
...it happened to me when I upgraded from Windows 8.1 to 10. Maybe the Anniversary Update for Windows 10 or subsequent update could have been the cause in your case.
Unknown drive appearing in File Explorer, "SYSTEM (Z:)"
I think what happens is that Setup assigns a drive letter to the hidden partitions so that it can upgrade them too (if required). Occasionally it 'forgets' to remove the assigned letter before rebooting.

Anyone know what the green leaf icon (circled in red) is in Task Manager? Is it to show which processes are suspended?

Thanks Bree. Yes I was aware and use Mountvol command to resolve. (Been reading this thread)
Just chiming in so we see how many members impacted.
Thanks again

I think so
