What do you do when you can’t quit the insider program? Every time I try to leave it and tell it which option and confirm, when it asks me to restart, it fills in my previous selected windows insider options and doesn’t let me leave program, upon restart it is still there. I’ve done this over and over. Grrrrrrr.
I got to have things simple. I use a separate SSD for SCU and one SSD for insider. Keeps me from confusing myself, most of the time.

thats not the issue. On one ssd, the Windows program selected as insider, which I wish to leave, but program will not let me.

Global Strategy
This one is among their best marketing strategies in the Win Ten cycles: A fake of 1803 to fully improve it. We give them an A+ for controlling the switch.

Interesting.
It is not clear what will happen though to existing 10 S versions with uwp apps installed. I guess you will need to convert to PRO, then create a custom image and include the S mode change. Time to dig out @ Kari's tutorial?

Forums are getting loads of messages about the oem partition (strange renaming anyway) getting a drive letter.
Sure it is easy enough to fix but this is a ridiculous bug that could have been well established in the Insider Programme if MS had released isos before final release to test the whole oobe and upgrade process using the iso.
I know we can create our own isos, but MS do not accept them in feedback terms.
So basically, 17134.1 got released to public without Insiders ever officially testing it. That is just plain stupid!

Not sure what you mean. As an Insider I got it some time ago. What do you mean by 'officially'?
That said, MS has been absurdly opaque and uncommunicative about this whole upgrade. The MS Communications Department (if such a thing even exists - maybe not, the way things are going) is a total fail, IMHO. These last couple-three weeks have been an information vacuum, with rumors and disinformation just flying around, and nobody knowing what they were talking about. No guidance from MS as to what is going on. I am growing increasingly disgusted with MS - I simply do not understand what their problem is. C'mon MS - how about some clarity?

An official iso of 17134.1 was never released to Insiders. We made our own but MS do not recognise them.

Jeez, I had set aside some time tonight to upgrade but after reading this thread (and some others) I think I'll wait until next week when there may be a CU to fix all/most of the bugs.
-
I really don't know how that would work. A build is a build - you can't backport the change and have different 17134.1's floating around out there. If they decide they don't need the actual bump in build number, the fix would still have to come in an update anyway. Or it could be an entirely different build number. My guess is that .5 is at least on the path.
That said, maybe .5 is on the path forward, or maybe something entirely different branching off of .1. I'll just wait and see.
The .5 was applied in a CU. Next Patch Tuesday we will get a CU that is either .5 or includes the fixes in .5. If you already have .5 it will just apply the differences so you will end up at the same position.

Hi folks
Seems strange latest release wasn´t released to insiders before the general public as this rather obviates the whole process of having insider of beta testing surely.
Anyway three errors so far neither fatal but a bit irritating main one is multiölanguages þ keyboards hosed up.
Keyboard mapping stays ISL even when ENG selected and boot into ENG. Not a mega issue so long as I remember. Funny thing is when boot into ISL keyboard can change to ENG which is a bit pointless.
Prt screen on keyboard throws up One drive thingey öö hate that will uninstall or disable.
Targeted ads no way to turn that of an OS shouldn´t be a commercial platform to sell things whether amazon or anything else. Think that was in previous rel as well ö just block them if they appear ÐÐ!
Cheers
