all seems to be well. But cortana no longer shows our news/daily feed when clicking the 'type here to search' bar at the bottom. Just get some tips and no way to see the weather, news headlines etc. Is that normal with this feature update? I found that useful but neither pc is doing it for us. Do I have to re enable something? Not that I can see a relevant thing to click or turn on.

I did a clean install with a USB created with the just released MCT tool and my feedback frequency says this is managed by Windows Insider program. I'm not an Insider.

Recognized you asked about those going the WU.
Thanks for that Ken. I was wondering the same and was having thoughts that the earlier pre public release 17134.1 might have been different in some way. Seems not though.

    So...

I clean installed a little while ago using the file from UUP Dump and using Kari's tutorial. It gave me 17134.1

    Two questions.

1/ Will the earlier file I made be identical to that made now using the MCT ? By identical I mean will the final installed version be the same.

2/ As someone else I think mentioned, why am I seeing 'Windows Insider Program Manages This
    Option'.

I've set this clean install up using a local account.

    Attachment 186734
Mine is the same @Mooly, clean install, local account, says manged by Insider program.

Installed and running. No stand-out issues for me so far. Need to play around a bit and see if something breaks.

All seems good. Turned off the focus and timeline/activity history thing. All old settings seem retained. No problems and OS seems as fast as ever. Going to install on a few more.

OK, I went back to the options window and now About doesn't close when clicked, and it shows build 1803. Must have still been doing some background updating or something, though it's been up more than an hour.

If you have Sumatra PDF reader installed the Set Defaults by App link crashes. I have upvoted an earlier post in Feedback Hub.

Thanks Ken. In a way that's good to know because it proves its not a peculiarity of my earlier version.

I'll see how all this is going tomorrow, I'm about done for tonight :) Hope everyone's install goes smoothly however you are doing it.
