May I suggest those with real issues they need good help with, start a new thread. This one is getting cluttered with side topics. I however do encourage those that updated with zero issues to post same here. IT would be nice to know who had good results. Also, how you upgraded, with the MCT, or VIA Windows update "check for updates" etc. That's stuff I personally would like to know. Or if you clean installed. Just my thoughts on how this thread is going. Issues posted here will be hard for others to find without reading the whole thread, which is getting long.

All three machines were upgraded this week. No Issues to report. The Desktop was updated from 1709 and it was performed via update button on the MS W10 web site and took 35 minutes. The laptop was updated from 1709 via "Check for Updates" and took approx 1.5 hours (slow CPU) . My ASUS tablet (is a Transformer MINI) was updated from 1709 and to just over 2 hours (Small Atom x5 processor).

After install, there were the standard after Feature update mods that needed to be made ie: Font's, Text sizes, Cortana Banishment, etc.

Oh did notice that Timeline does capture previous FireFox session.

I clean installed with a usb stick that I created with the April update MCT. Only issue I had was with networked computers showing up in File Explorer. I fixed that issue with much reading and searching to find out you have to set the two Function Discovery services to automatic (delayed start) and either start them or reboot. Now my networked devices show and I have zero issues with 1803 April update. :)

I did the Windows update from 1709 non insiders, consumer release, via "check for updates" on my desktop PC running Enterprise. No major issues that I am aware of. Candy Crush etc was reinstalled. And I think 1 or 2 of my defaults programs Apps may have been changed. Not 100% sure though.

I also did one clean install with the x86x64 MCT ISO. I used diskpart to create the install media on a USB thumb drive. No issues there that I am aware of. I installed Home and did a change key to go to Pro, then Education, then Enterprise.

I fully agree. I even unsubscribed from this thread because of so much side talk.

Upgraded from 16299.xxx to 17134.1 then .5 using WU, without any issues on two machines.

Tell Slice I'll make it one post longer!

I've got several RTM builds installed, and I used the Update Assistant on one of them. Was very smooth and an old-time Win-7 type UI that was easy to understand.

Upgrading to 1803 using Windows Update caused numerous Microsoft apps to stop working. But after doing a "Fresh Start" on Tuesday, I haven't run into any significant issues.

My 1803 update on 2 different laptops went pretty smooth. I used Windows update and probably was one of the first to update. And I did 2 bios updates on top of it. Some minor issues like the new startup section settings don't stick and one or two other things that were actually correctable. OS seems pretty fast overall. I don't really see any value for me in this latest update though. I'm not interested in timeline which sounds like something facebookish or any of the other things added. I don't use cortana or voice assistants on a laptop...Increased security is always good. I'm glad though that it went okay. I do think Windows 10 is becoming more and more of a drag with these feature updates and cumulative updates... And then you have all the cpu problems. I miss the earlier times of Windows XP, Vista and even 8.1. Oh well.

I don't miss XP, Vista and even 8.1. Windows 2000 was one of my all-time favourite Windows operating systems. I want to do a clean install on my laptop with my "business editions" Microsoft ISO. Then test the going from edition to edition with a change product key. I just switched ISP's and have been playing catchup changing my e-mail etc on web sites I frequent. Hopefully this weekend I can find some time for testing.
