Superfly ; " Anyway seems the codes have changed:
Perhaps it will recognise these codes as 0 and 1 are not applicable any longer. "...………….I use a SSD-optimizer , have a look, please, at these pictures , one is after every reboot ; 80000003 ( not optimized !) and the other is after using your first PowerShell-solution ; set to "1" ( program shows optimized now !)

You see ;its for the life-time of ourSSDs important to keep this setting at "1" .
Your first solution works fine , still it seems its been set to "80000003" again , after starting an external HDD in Windows !!
    @pietcorus2
Thanx for those results... but before I do further work on our work-around, did you test the other codes? 80000001 in particular?

Superfly , first thanks for your help, my knowledge is not enough to solve the problem.
The other options give us the same result as "0" , so not optimized . Only set to "1" makes our SSD optimal optimized !
So, Im still using first solution , and have to get accustomed to the blue PowerShell-screen, coz this works reliable good .

Still dont know why its set to "80000003" ( Default ???) after starting external HDD ……….

Some devices may hang or freeze when using certain apps, such as “Hey Cortana” or Chrome, after installing the Windows 10 April 2018 Update

Microsoft is aware that some devices running the Windows 10 April 2018 Update (version 1803) may hang or freeze when using certain apps, such as “Hey Cortana” or Chrome.

If your device freezes when using an app, try one of the following steps to recover Windows without needing to restart:

    1. Try a Windows key sequence to wake the screen. If you have a keyboard connected, simultaneously press the Windows logo key + Ctrl + Shift + B. If you’re on a tablet, simultaneously press both the volume-up and volume-down buttons, three times within 2 seconds. If Windows is responsive, a short beep will sound and the screen will blink or dim while Windows attempts to refresh the screen.
    2. If you’re using a laptop, close and open the laptop lid.

Microsoft is working on a solution with the goal of including it in the next regular monthly update, currently targeted for a release date of May 8, 2018.

No prob. OK I'll work on adding an event trigger (I think it's EventID 6416) that launches the task when an external is inserted...

Is there any chance someone else has this issue?
I never had problems with updates and my pc is pretty new, but this one is pretty annoying and it keeps popping up all the time. Tried many solutions after some googling and nothing worked.

MSVCP120.dll is the Visual C++ redistributable for Visual Studio 2012. You will find it listed in Settings > Apps > Apps & features where, if you click on it and select 'Modify' you can repair the install. You may have both the x86 and x64 versions, so you may need to repair both unless you know which version your app is calling.

Alternatively, you can download a fresh copy here or, better still download the updated one for Visual Studio 2017. Depending on the application that's calling for it, you may need the x86 or x64 version.

thank you very much for your help and your prompt reply.. :)unfortunately both tries didn't fix the issue.. neither the repair, nor the 2017 packages.. after restarts, nothing changed
    I keep having this popup!
