Updated the Desktop yesterday and Gayle's Laptop this afternoon. This is the FIRST time an update has turned off System Protection. On both machines. Go figure. No problems , just a slow process.
Maybe the update turned System Protection off because MicroSoft knew it doesn't work again in this version. :)

It turned system protection on on my laptop. Had to shut it off again.

is it normal for Windows Search Filter Host to be active (~ 20% CPU use of my quad-core CPU) for hours after updating?

edit: actually it fluctuates from around 10% to 20% CPU usage

Is anyone having problems with Chrome? I haven't reinstalled it yet since upgrading to 1803, but some people are saying that it's causing their computers to lock up.

No problems on my end with Chrome and 1803 except Chrome doesn't show up in the Timeline.

    Hello Ground Sloth

The only anomaly that happened to me with regard to Google Chrome after this MS update was its icon turning into a blank icon and its file path ending up being directed to C:\ProgramData\Microsoft\Windows Defender\Definition Updates, but everything has been fine for me since reinstalling it.

Has anybody noticed on certain apps (Steam) when you launch a new game and the dialog box comes up saying "Preparing to launch". Just before the popup box appears saying that, a blue border of the window appears before the actual window.
