Not me, but @f14tomcat did, and it's working fine. Will have to reinstall most of your apps though, if you go with full reset.
Working great after the update...... Will be doing a clean install when I get around to doing it in the near future.

Was thinking the same.. Working fine for now, some minor glitches like OEM naming of Recovery partitions, and Local Network hideout (which Access Denied solved...)

Will wait on the first or 2nd CU with clean install :)

    Hi,

I'm guessing that if you had updated to Build 17134.1 from the Fall Creators Update (16299.402) everything would be OK, but if you added 17134.5 to the mix, that's why it won't boot.

Hmmm, maybe that's the show stopping bug we heard rumors about . . .

Don't think so, @Wynona. I tested that scenario on several machines and it does not create any problem at all.
In fact those of you wanting to go from 17134.1 to .5 can simply download the CU, rename it so it has a .cab extension and install it.

    Cheers,

The blocking bug was on 17133.1 Wynona.

Yep, that's exactly what I did on one my PCs, I renamed the CU package extension from .msu to .cab, and used DISM to install it.

I wouldn't do that. That could be just for Insiders. Wait a day or two..

No, no. IP and RTM use the same updates. RTM is just timeshifted that's all.
What could happen is the .5 is skipped on RTM and replaced by a new CU. No biggie since that's a cumulative update.

Updated the Desktop yesterday and Gayle's Laptop this afternoon. This is the FIRST time an update has turned off System Protection. On both machines. Go figure. No problems , just a slow process.

    EDIT:

Both machines updated via Windows Update.
