Well so far biggest issue I have with our new update is with my network printer, had to reinstall the drivers and software 3 times in last 24 hours.
After reading this I decided to test my own network printer. Thankfully it works perfect.

Forums are getting loads of messages about the oem partition (strange renaming anyway) getting a drive letter.

Sure it is easy enough to fix but this is a ridiculous bug that could have been well established in the Insider Programme if MS had released isos before final release to test the whole oobe and upgrade process using the iso.

I know we can create our own isos, but MS do not accept them in feedback terms.

So basically, 17134.1 got released to public without Insiders ever officially testing it. That is just plain stupid!
Where do I look to see that oem partition issue? I don't see any additional drive letters on mine.

    Hi there
    @Kari again

Restored old version and booted into ENG - 5 Mins (very fast decent i7 and 500 GB fast SSD).
Did update -- 35 mins . Not sure why people saying server is slow -- perhaps it is regional - anyway nice to have ISP with 1 Gb/s download (rolling out 10 Gb/s this month too).

    Booted into ISL

Keyboard finally working !!! so something must have got hosed up by trying to do the update in the non original Language Windows. The original version of Windows was GB edition. Might have a different outcome if secondary languages are available as Original Windows -- for ISL only a language pack is available - there's not an original ISL version.

The .5 was applied in a CU. Next Patch Tuesday we will get a CU that is either .5 or includes the fixes in .5. If you already have .5 it will just apply the differences so you will end up at the same position.
Thanks for the clarification, Keith. I still don't understand why MS didn't include the CU and just give us 17134.5. It would have been a whole lot more logical.

Perhaps the .5 is a way to keep the telemetry from the IP and the Release people different for them. Seeing as only the IP will get .5 atm, that only seems logical. It could be for a myriad of other reasons as well. I will not discount that. :)

    Hi folks
Seems strange latest release wasn´t released to insiders before the general public as this rather obviates the whole process of having insider of beta testing surely.
But it was, Jimbo. I don't remember whether it was April 20 or 23, but we definitely got Build 17134.1 at least a week before the April 2018 Update (Build 17134.1) was released. I know that we can check for updates and it will show up, but it's not going to be dropped on the "general" public until May 8.

Anyway three errors so far neither fatal but a bit irritating main one is multiölanguages þ keyboards hosed up.

Keyboard mapping stays ISL even when ENG selected and boot into ENG. Not a mega issue so long as I remember. Funny thing is when boot into ISL keyboard can change to ENG which is a bit pointless.

Prt screen on keyboard throws up One drive thingey öö hate that will uninstall or disable.
Since I only use US English, I don't have keyboard problems, thank goodness.

Targeted ads no way to turn that of an OS shouldn´t be a commercial platform to sell things whether amazon or anything else. Think that was in previous rel as well ö just block them if they appear ÐÐ!
I hate ads, especially in an operating system I pay for! I could understand if it were freeware (well, the upgrade from Windows 7 & 8 was kinda free, but I paid for the originals I upgraded from. In fact, I upgraded from Windows 7 Home to Windows 10 Home, then used my Windows 8.1 Pro license to get to Windows 10 Pro. Besides, when I buy a new computer, Windows 10 is on it, so I've essentially paid for the OS . . . I'm quite sure the OEM paid a licensing fee which was passed on to me.

For anyone waiting for WU to update to 17134.5, please remember that although the manual installation of 17134.1 is now possible, the official update to 17134.1 is not available for a few days through WU and also that Microsoft's servers are a little busy with all those trying to manually download updates
So, Nigel, are you saying that when I checked for updates and WU gave me Build 17134.1, that it's not official, although it came from Microsoft's servers?

Edit: Which is what I did on my Lappy 17 that's not in the Insider Program.
