Me too, thanks! I always hated iTunes on Windows - hopefully this will work better.

Hmmm, what if one already uses the conventional iTunes for windows software? I’d be interested to know if the two installations play nicely with each other? I assume they’ll both try to create iTunes music folders in similar places and create problems. Is there any benefit to having iTunes installed via the store as opposed to using the normal desktop version?

I'm hoping it will not interfere so much with Windows which the old version did... We will see. Store apps are more constrained when it comes to interfering with the OS than the old legacy ones as far as I know (which is not too much on this subject).

I suspect it's the same app that you can download from Apple. Why would Apple create a special version just got the Windoes Store, doesn't make sense?

Ok thanks. I think I’ll sit on the fence for now. I’ve got about 4000 tracks and many movies all locally stored aswell as in the cloud. Using iTunes Match (not Apple Music). I think an uninstall and reinstall might cause the iCloud music library to wobble. It’s pretty unpredictable as it is. But it sounds positive and good for Windows S users!

Wonder if this app opens automatically when your device is connected. The Apple standalone version stopped doing that for me ages! The device is still recognised though

Itíll be interesting to see if Apple drops the desktop version for windows in the future and focuses on this UWP app as the only way to use iTunes on windows 10. Personally I hope not as I prefer traditional desktop software over UWP stuff but I wouldnít be surprised if this a happened
