"I have no problem with this one but new build would be nice."

On the oither hand I've had very considerable problems on the physical machine what with "HAL not initialized" message when trying to add features like Linux Subsystem and Hyper-V. The last install attempt only got to 14%.

I have more of an appreciation of the work involved in putting out Skip Ahead builds for sure.

Marty, do you think a new build is coming, or are we switching to the other rs5 on ‘regular’ builds.

Judging by what happened with FCU, we'll probably have both, Fast and skippy in parallel for while.

I guess I was thinking that, based on Brink and Dona's message the Fast track was going to be rs5, so If skippy continues, it will be on Spring 2019 build????

I think we will get a new a Skip Ahead build - maybe later in the evening for us on the Eastt Coast. I can't remember how the transition went with RS4. It seems things were screwed up with the delay in releasing 1803 generally due to late bug. I will be disappointed if we don't get one this week but on the other hand I just discovered last night that I could get Linux Kernel 4.17 rc3 from the Experimental repo. We will see.

No. I think that there won't be any Builds for Spring 2019 until November or even December - or at least builds released to buildfeed.net. The Spring 2019 release won't even be called Redstone BTW

I guess we'll be working on something. Who knows what exotic additions will be forthcoming.

FastRing and Skippy for RS5 will be merged now. During the late summer/Autumn we might see first Skippy for RS6.

Thanks, that’s what I thought. Marty seems to think it will remain separate.

Heheh. We've had this very same conversation 6 months and 1 year ago. And every time we will end up with the same conclusion --> FastRing and SkipAhead will merge and be 100% identical until MS developers fork the two again. :)
